She Saw Her Best Friend’s Boudoir Photos and Thought, “Yep… I Need to Do This.”

It started with wine, a best friend, and a boudoir album.

One night, Miss K was hanging out with her best friend, drinking wine in her bed and flipping through the photos from her Boudoir by Constance experience. As she looked through the album, she saw her friend in a completely different way. She looked gorgeous, confident, comfortable, and completely herself. Somewhere between the wine and the photos, Miss K had a very simple thought: “Yep… I need to do this.”

That was the moment she decided to take the leap and book her own Boudoir Experience. She wanted that feeling for herself.

Of course, deciding to do a boudoir session and actually showing up for one are two very different things. Miss K had never done anything like this before, so she was definitely nervous. She didn't really know what to expect, and there were plenty of normal pre-session butterflies. At the same time, though, she felt surprisingly confident going into it because she had been so well prepared.

Before her session, we made sure she knew exactly what to expect. She received detailed information to help her prepare, and we had a video call where we walked through the experience, answered her questions, and talked through how everything would work. So when session day finally arrived, she still had those normal butterflies, but she never felt like she was walking in blind. She knew she was in good hands.

From Nervous to Superwoman

Once Miss K stepped into the studio, the experience began to shift those nerves into something completely different. From hair and makeup with Bree to posing and coaching throughout her session, she told me she felt confident, strong, loved, and absolutely beautiful.

One of my favorite things about her experience was that she never felt like she had to know what she was doing. She didn't have to worry about whether she was posing correctly or what her body looked like from every possible angle. I was there to guide her through it all, so she could focus on the experience instead of getting stuck inside her own head.

And as the session went on, she could actually feel her confidence building. By the end, she described herself as feeling like Superwoman—powerful, beautiful, and completely unstoppable.

That's one of the most rewarding parts of what I get to witness in the studio. Confidence doesn't always show up the second you walk through the door. Sometimes it builds one pose at a time, one laugh at a time, and one moment of “Oh, I can actually do this” at a time. Eventually, you stop thinking about the camera and start enjoying yourself.

And Miss K definitely did that.

She expected to have fun, laugh, and enjoy the experience. What she didn't expect was to be cackling on the floor or talking with me like we'd been old friends for years when we had literally just met. But that's exactly what happened.

And honestly? I wouldn't want it any other way.

Yes, we're creating beautiful images. Yes, I'm going to coach you, direct you, and make sure every detail is working together. But you're also allowed to laugh. You're allowed to be silly. You're allowed to relax. You're allowed to have fun. You don't have to spend the entire session trying to look sexy.

Sometimes the most genuine moments happen in between the poses, when you're laughing so hard you end up on the floor. Those moments matter because the goal isn't just to create photographs that look beautiful. It's to create an experience where you feel beautiful.

Then She Saw Her Images

If the session itself surprised Miss K, the Image Reveal took things to another level.

She expected to like some of her photographs. What she didn't expect was to receive 100 images and not dislike a single one. Not one.

She genuinely couldn't choose a favorite because somehow, they were all her favorites.

But what happened next is the part that makes her story about so much more than photographs.

Miss K explained that she has always considered herself self-confident in the sense that she doesn't really care what other people think of her. But she hadn't always had that same confidence when it came to looking at herself and feeling beautiful every day.

There's a difference between knowing you don't need other people's approval and actually looking at yourself and feeling proud of the woman you see.

Her images gave her that.

She looked at herself and saw someone beautiful, strong, and worthy of being celebrated. She told me that feeling was something she never expected to get from a photo session, and it's something she knows she'll cherish forever.

These images became so much more than pictures to her. They became a reminder of how she felt in that moment and a reminder of how she deserves to see herself.

Sometimes You Just Need to See Yourself Differently

There's a reason Miss K decided to book after seeing her best friend's photographs. She saw her friend differently, and for a moment, she wondered what it would be like if she could see herself that way, too.

That's what makes this experience so special. Sometimes we become so accustomed to looking at ourselves through our own critical eyes that we forget other people don't necessarily see us that way.

Our best friend sees the woman who makes everyone laugh. Our partner sees the woman they can't get enough of. Our family sees the woman who would do anything for the people she loves. And sometimes, we need someone to help us see a little bit of what they see.

Miss K walked into my studio nervous and unsure of exactly what to expect. She walked out feeling like Superwoman. Then she sat down at her Image Reveal and saw 100 photographs of herself that she genuinely loved.

Not because she had suddenly become someone else. Because she finally got to see herself from a different perspective.

Her Advice?

DO ITTTT!!

Seriously.

That's what Miss K would tell any woman considering her own Boudoir Experience. Every woman deserves an experience where she gets to feel beautiful, powerful, confident, and completely herself.

We're so often our own worst critics. We notice the things we wish were different. We focus on the parts we don't love. We convince ourselves that we'll feel better about ourselves later—when we've lost the weight, changed something, fixed something, or finally reached whatever imaginary finish line we've created for ourselves. But what if you didn't wait?

What if you gave yourself the opportunity to see yourself differently right now?

Miss K's advice is simple: if you're nervous, do it nervous. You don't have to wait until you feel fearless. You don't have to know exactly what you're doing. You don't have to know what you'll think when you see your images. You just have to take the leap.

Because sometimes you don't realize how beautiful you've been all along until someone gives you the chance to finally see it. Maybe your story starts with wine, your best friend, and the thought:

“Yep… I need to do this.”
